Heading into December, TomTom has two MapRoulette challenges to share.
Up first is the United States - Disconnected Barriers from Nearby Roads challenge with 844 tasks. This challenge detects where barriers are not located on highways. Usually, this requires verification that the barrier still exists or an update to the barrier position. Complex situations may need more research or access tag updates might be needed as a result from the barrier update.
Next up is the United States - Missing Parking Aisles on Service Roads - Tampa challenge. The challenge has 73 tasks throughout the Tampa, Florida metro area. The goal of this challenge is to improve highway geometry in parking lots by confirming existing classifications and checking for missing or misaligned highway geometry. In some cases, one-ways or turn restrictions may also need to be modified with highway geometry updates so be sure to confirm those tags if present.
As always you may encounter false positives, so feel free to mark those tasks as Already Fixed or Not an Issue as needed.
