Tiles and Postgis

Hi all,
I have downloaded tiles from the tiles open steet map server using JTiledownloader.
My question** is it possible to put these tiles into a postgis Database to use them to have slippy map of my country.**

You can do it, if you have the tiles in directories like this: “zoom level”/“number x”/“number y”.png e.g. 2/2/4.png. Just configure openlayers to look in the directory where you have the tiles, instead of looking for the tiles on Openstreeetmap.
