definitely no, and AFAIK noone tried to introduce OSM version of papal infallibility

Shouldn’t the community — the very people who contribute to and sustain this project — be meaningfully consulted before major policy decisions are made?

I think that it makes sense if people (A) would comment (B) would comment with at least cursory understanding of situation.

In my experience public consultations in OSM received relatively minor feedback (and even lesser after taking (B) into account) even for more important and controversial issues
