I can’t seen anything in the wiki, but I’m not sure if I’m looking in the right place.
There is also 13x ball_games=no, I have also used that once or twice. Fun Fact: There is also 1x ball_games=not_over_10s

I also give you hard_cricket_balls=no on way 95801517. I seem to have missed a golf=no tag too. I think this is the quirkiest set of restrictions I’ve seen for ball games.

truth is, when they write no playing with balls, they are typically equally opposed to other kind of playing

This restriction is posted so frequently in the U.S. that at least one state has a standard traffic sign for it. The MUTCD guide on the wiki recommends not:sport=baseball on whatever the sign seems to apply to. But @dieterdreist has a good point that it might also forbid other ball sports, depending on the context. If the sign is posted in front of a large, completely flat, grassy area, it might refer to soccer and football too. It’s hard to come up a better suggestion unless there’s another sign saying what you can do there.
