Tagging a sometimes removed defibrillator

I’ve recently added a new defibrillator to the map. Subsequently I walked past and noticed the defibrillator was missing from the cabinet. I enquired with the local operators and they said it is not connected to the mains and the battery can’t keep it warm in cold weather so the local maintainer checks the weather each week and removes it when it’s forecast to be cold. How to tag this?
My best guess is
-access=yes
-access:conditional=no@cold
I’m not entirely happy with this as:
-it uses a conditional tag with an unusual condition so will have limited support and only be human readable;
-the cabinet remains but the defibrillator is gone so it is more specifically not present rather than inaccessible.
On the other hand, access:conditional is reasonably standard tagging so maybe better than using something obscure or novel.

Maybe use the opening hours syntax since it’s a tag that’s defined for use with AEDs. There you can put “text in apostrophes” and most apps will display that

I’d use seasonal=yes.

I had thought about seasonal=yes and decided against because the defibrillator won’t be gone for winter. However, the wiki page says appears/disappears with seasonal conditions, which does fit. I think I’ll use that in combination with the conditional access tag.

Thanks. Although opening hours would be widely supported it doesnt seem right to me to use it for presence/absence, but on the other hand the cabinet remains present so it’s a bit like the staff going home. Not sure…!

I understand your objection. Still, it’s a widely used tag on AEDs and also supported by a great number of data consumers so I’d use it somehow like “opening_hours=24/7; “out of order below $rough temperature guess””

In any case, I would add it as a description.
