.svg imports as image to illustrator

Hi people,

I’m an architecture student and normally I do my nolli plans with openstreetmap, save the map as .svg and import it to illustrator to get the parts I want, but since a few days when I import the downloaded .svg-data to illustrator it shows up as a simple image and i cant click any single thing.

Can someone of you enlighten me what I’m doing wrong?

I have success in exporting an svg file from openstreetmap.org

Maybe your map extent is to large?

Do you know https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/SVG and

https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Exporting_to_Adobe_Illustrator

for alternative methods?
