.svg imports as image to illustrator

Hi people,

I’m an architecture student and normally I do my nolli plans with openstreetmap, save the map as .svg and import it to illustrator to get the parts I want, but since a few days when I import the downloaded .svg-data to illustrator it shows up as a simple image and i cant click any single thing.

Can someone of you enlighten me what I’m doing wrong?

Where do you get the SVG map from?

I normally download it with the share button on the right side at openstreetmap.org and save it as .svg and I’m still able to do that but the data opens as simple image and I can’t edit it.
