When I edit a street name - the name does not update for all scales. When I zoom in and out it changes from the old name to the new name. Any ideas why?
Map tiles are updated in the background, and depending on which rendering service, how busy it is at the time, how many updates are pending for the tile, and whether there is a change in style in progress, it can take from minutes to days for some scales to be updated. For the standards Mapnik layer, the highest zoom level is rendered on demand, but may still be cached by proxies and the browser, and other levels normally update in minutes, but they can take hours at busy times, or weeks immediately after a change in style.
Please remember that the standard layer is there as an aid to mappers, not as a means of using maps to use in their own right.
