Street lamps JOSM style

About two months ago, I created a simple JOSM style called “Street lamps”, which improves the visibility of highway=street_lamp objects.

Recently, @Tordanik published a style for directions, which motivated me to update my style and share it here on the forum.

Features:

  • Adds a glowing circle around each lamp node
  • Uses different colors depending on lamp_type (LED / non-LED)
  • Supports light:count and light:direction tags – can render multiple (up to 8) light points for a single lamp, inspired be the great project OSM Street Light website. If light:direction is missing, it falls back to default angles.
  • Settings – you can adjust all parameters such as circle size, radius and opacity in the Advanced Preferences (search by josm-street-lamps-style).

Awesome! I did a lot of the Wiki documentation for the light_source=* tags: light:method=*, light:colour=*, light:power=*, light:flux=*, light:count=*, etc. :slight_smile: so I’m really happy to see this!
