Strada privata tagging

Hello,

What tagging would be correct for a road marked like this? Is it allowed to walk down a road marked this way? This is in Switzerland but I didn’t see a Swiss forum.

The Italian speaking section of Switzerland. Tag access=private is the tag widely used south of the border. Going by foot thru or bike gets very few riled, but have been admonished so not tagging that unless signed. Some farmers have been getting upset over MTB riders abusing the track access so they’ve been planting ‘strada privata’ signs.

PS Mostly these are dead-end ways. Given the name here probably no gate left open.

this combination of signs means you may not drive a vehicle but can walk there. I think it is the same meaning in Switzerland but am not 100% sure.

vehicle=private would seem to represent it, although by the meaning of the sign it would actually be vehicle=no, provided it is an official sign (no exceptions declared). For the specifics you should ask someone from Switzerland

When hiking in Switzerland, following the route signage, we often were routed over private roads like this one.
I think it is best to tag as close to the actual signage as possible, leaving the localised legislation out of it.

I am not Swiss but considering Swiss regulation on road signs in article 113 point 3 (https://fedlex.data.admin.ch/filestore/fedlex.data.admin.ch/eli/cc/1979/1961_1961_1961/20210101/it/pdf-a/fedlex-data-admin-ch-eli-cc-1979-1961_1961_1961-20210101-it-pdf-a-9.pdf) it is written:
Il proprietario che ha ottenuto, per proteggere la sua proprietà, un divieto o una
limitazione di circolare sulle sue strade, vie o piazzali può collocare il corrispondente
segnale con il cartello complementare «Privato», «Strada privata» ecc., secondo le
direttive dell’autorità.
that I will translated as
The owner that obtained, in order to protect his property, a prohibition or a restriction to circulate on a road, a street or sa quare can put the corresponding sign with the additional plate «Privato» (private), «Strada privata» (private road), … according to the directive of the official autority.
According to this, in my opinion, since the corresponding sign refers to vehicles, the tag should be vehicles = private.

To be honest, as already been notedm in Italy often signs like this are meant to be ban all road users from a road, when put by a private owner (despited the sign refer only to vehicles); but maybe in Switzerland are more precise about the exact meaning of the sign, considering that they refer to this also in a official regulation.

the legal situation in Italy and Switzerland is very different, because in Switzerland there is the freedom to roam while in Italy there is no such right.
