Static_tents with tourism=camp_site

@Fizzie-DWG recently added static_tents=yes/no/number to tourism=camp_site.

Unlike with static_caravans, it allows a number in addition to yes or no to specify the number of static tents in a campsite. Either this option should be added to static_caravans or maybe new capacity:static_tents and capacity:static_caravans should be introduced. As capacity:tents and capacity:caravans are now defined as “number of pitches available”, this new capacity of static tents or caravans should be in addition to them, as they are presumably on pitches that are not available for your tent or caravan.

Thoughts? I have not looked at the 78 uses of static_tents=* in overpass.

Something that has always concerned me slightly about this is that it disregards the size of the tent you are using.

Sure, a lot of the time there will only be 1 tent per pitch, but if you are using small “pup” tents or swags e.g. https://www.anacondastores.com/medias/ultimate-swag-set-up-1.jpg you could easily fit several of them on the one pitch.

Hm, I t hink the page Tag:building=static_tent - OpenStreetMap Wiki was wrong, I redirected it to Tag:building=static_tent - OpenStreetMap Wiki instead. I also made it match the description of static_tent on Tag:building=tent - OpenStreetMap Wiki .

I changed wiki to only allow yes and no to static_tents and introduce a new capacity:static_tents to Tag:tourism=camp_site - OpenStreetMap Wiki and hopefully linked it and mentioned it everywhere where it needs to be linked.

And I fixed the tagging where there was static_tents=only|number.
