Starting to work with Osmosis

Hi,
I just started Osmosis to extract date from OSM.
Following Osmosis/Quick Install (Windows) - OpenStreetMap Wiki - worked fine.

Thereafter I tried to extract data following Osmosis - OpenStreetMap Wiki.

I used just the first example an just modified the dbf-filename.

osmosis --read-pbf \ch.pbf --node-key-value keyValueList=“camp_site” --write-xml camp.osm

The command was accepted, but the only reaction was a new line showing “>>”.

No idea, how to go on or what I missed.

Hoping, that somebody “mir aufs Pferd hilft”, as we say in German (“please help me on the horse” :-).

I use osmium, but i think maybe this will work for you?
osmosis --read-pbf \ch.pbf --node-key-value keyValueList="tourism.camp_site" --write-xml camp.osm

Thanks.

But the correction of the key did not help - same result.

I installed Osmosis now under Linux Mint on my notebook. It works perfectly.
