Starting to tag bus stops types

I would like to start mapping the types of bus stops. I created a proposal for officially using bus_stop:type as suggested in the page https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:*:type

value	Desctiption
bay	busses have to pull over to the side in a designated area to stop
bulb	part of the sidewalk that portrudes outwards, usually instead of a parking lane so that the busses stay in their lane.
lane	busses stop in their lane without having to merge when stopping or continuing
parking_lane	bus stops inside the parking lane instead of parking places
terminal	part of a larger bus station with multiple bus stops

since the tag does not collide with other tags and is already in use in some degree I already started tagging.

feel free to leave any feedback on the descriptions of the diffrent types or anything else in the proposal.

Start tagging too because I would love to have that data!

I don’t have any objections, just wanted to say that adding images to all the bus types would make the definition clearer.
Also worth looking what other communities are doing and checking tag info to see if and how much a tag is being used.

As we’ve discussed this in private - I think this is a good idea. Seems to meet all criteria for OSM data.

I agree that some photos are really needed to make the definitions easy to understand.

This should be brought up in a global forum - not just Israel. I think if this gets approved by the community, we should request that it be added to StreetComplete as a quest on bus stops! Then this tag would start to be filled in worldwide.

I looked up in taginfo and took some of the tagging from those in use. I couldn’t find good pictures for all the values so I’ll have to take them myself
