@pyrog and I have submitted a SOTM 2026 talk on mapping for outdoor activities in France. One goal of this talk, programmed on Saturday morning, is to highlight the successes and the difficulties the local outdoors community has in making OSM a reference for outdoors practitioners and professionals.
But there is another goal: reach to other outdoors communities and individual contributors who share the same aims and the same questions, and contribute our input to a self-organised session where outdoors mappers will share their questions and work on consensus based on practical experience and difficulties. Hence this message, both to recruit for the session and to start gathering participants and topics.
