since a few years, especially since corona, the amount of shops and workshops (crafts) for all needs around motorhomes, caravan and campers is very increasing. Unfortunately I could not find any amenitys/ tags wich fits best with the work they offer within this sector. These workshops are no traditional car-workshops or -services, because the manage only the needs of campers and their motorhomes (electricity, solar, PV, watersupply etc…) Do you think it would be useful to create a separate amenity / tag for this kind of workshop and services?
craft= may avoid the lack of selling the vehicles in shop= service:vehicle:*_repair= as in service:vehicle:truck_repair= alongside service:vehicle:truck_*= is making it ever complicated and unscalable. service:vehicle:car_repair= and service:vehicle:car_parts= seems merely inheriated from =car_repair and =car_parts , not suggesting service:vehicle:car_*= for mode-specific services. service:caravan:repair= similar to service:bicycle:repair= would have been better, to remove the useless *:vehicle:*= , and infix modes in service:*:repair= service:vehicle:caravan_repair= doesn’t include selling parts, still requiring caravan:parts= (caveat *:parts= / caravan:*= has been promoted by Rtfm in controversy, where =motorcycle originally documented a proposal of unprefixed =parts etc )
In general, services of other vehicles are bad. Eg =truck referring to hgv= only, not light ones, and no buses or other commercial vehicles. How to tag a control centre for tachographs?
Hi! Thanks for all your suggestions. As it seems, it isn’t very easy to define an accurate tag for the case that I addressed. My focus was more on the caracteristics “manual craft” and “service” for the especially within the sector motorhomes and campers and not with a focus on “selling and service for cars or trucks”.
