Hello everybody! I became an OSM editor due to a bit of a hurdle.
I believe the Seibu Shinjuku line in Tokyo, Japan lacks the “subway=yes” tag causing it to be improperly displayed on applications using OSM.
I have not added in the tag yet as the route exists in the database for more, than 14 years leading me to believe there is a good reason for this. As such, would anybody please instruct me on the best course of action. Please forgive me if I am being silly.
It’s obvious not a metro, even outside OSM. It’s not grade-separated in any section till Kawagoe.
The wiki article seems to be authored by a non-native. I don’t think either the international or Japanese community has ever decided on how to handle through service. But regardless, there’s no through service on Seibu Shinjuku Line, so I don’t know why are you asking this.
