Road Classification in Indonesia

Thank you Kevbold for joining this discussion. This thread mainly focuses on the edit war in Ngawi area, so no worries about Palangka Raya.

What is the conclusion of our discussion so far? While OSM road terminology does not strictly have to follow government regulations, the lack of a standardized reference risks making classifications subjective.

@Gaung_Tebono, if anything remains unclear regarding the road tagging descriptions in Indonesia Wiki, please feel free to discuss it further here first.

Please keep in mind that the focus of this forum is solely on the highway=* attribute, not other topics.

Since there is no further comment from him, I think we may stick with existing guideline for now. In the meantime, there are two new contributors that reverted back woodpeck’s edit in Ngawi, like this one.

Saya mengirimi mereka pesan pribadi kemarin.

I sent them a private message yesterday. Based on the information they provided, none of them are alt accounts of Gaung Tebono.

@Gaung_Tebono Welcome back to OSM. I saw your road classification edits in Yogyakarta and Solo, but I cannot find your source or justification about those edits. May explain?
