This discussion is reinitiated with the clear goal to establish highway=hitchhiking as the standard.
This was proposed in many other threads without much opposition and there were no serious efforts made to establish a standard in recent year (indicating no strong opinions). Thus we should be able to come to a conclusion here quickly. Such that voting on it will start in 2 weeks from now.
