Rendering of car dealerships not yet implemented ?

Hello,

i developed a small homepage for my car dealer, Seat Ambacher in Wernau (Germany).
I want to display the position of this dealership by using Openstreetmap.
I registred the dealer’s position in Openstreetmap tagging it with “shop=car”
Unfortunaltely it is not displayed when using the following URL:

http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=48.694453&lon=9.414532&zoom=18&layers=B000F000F

(It should be displayed near the train station of Wernau but it isn’t).

I checked other shops as well. As far as I can see, the only shops being rendered are shops tagged
with “shop=supermarket”. When will the rendering of other types of shops be implemented in
Openstreetmap ? Or is there another way to make a dealership appear in an OSM map ?

If you want it to render you could consider creating a trac ticket on trac.openstreetmap.org. But not every POI will make it to the main map to avoid cluttering. It is the intention to create once something like this http://www.lenz-online.de/cgi-bin/osm/osmpoinit.pl

You can always use openlayers to add icons on the map
