Rendering errors on main page map for small zoom levels.

Hi,

I found that there are certain parts on the map, where the picture is not rendered well (for many weeks now), but only for certain zoom levels (usually 1-9). This usually manifests itself such that a coast line is not following the line it should, but is made to a strange square-like pattern.

I found 3 such places so far:
South Taiwan:

What can be the problem that it only shows up for certain zooms? Is it syntax thus user generated problem?

Yeah I’ve been wondering why this happens… Maybe one should ask on the mailig list.
