Refreshing JOSM WMTS layers cache

I’m using a bunch of tilesets for background layers in JOSM, each tileset is behind the same WMTS address, after selecting an imagery source, JOSM gives a list of layers. The tilesets are served using tileserver.php, hosted locally (WAMPserver). Now the problems is that sometimes after I have processed a new layer, it doesn’t appear in the JOSM WMTS layer list. When I check in my browser at the Tileserver page, the layer is there, so it seems that JOSM didn’t trigger to scan the WMTS layers again. Usually a new layer appears right away, but when it doesn’t appear immediately, it’s a huge pain to get it to appear, even restarting JOSM, restarting the webserver, or changing the tileset name doesn’t work.

I noticed that JOSM shows the same WMTS layers list even when the server is not running, so it must be cached when you retrieve layers the first time. Is there a way to force refresh, or should I make a bug report for JOSM?

Did you try “Flush tile cache” option which appears when you right click into the image?

Yes, but it just clears the image cache of the current layers, not the WMTS layer list itself.

Once selected, it gives a popup in JOSM, so that you can select which layer you want.
