Hello.
I search and i click on a location. After i click it outlines with red boundary. Which i like and i wanna download the place the way red marker shows.
But when i download it downloads the whole area outside of the red. How can i download like the way i want?
Lets say i wanna download downtown new york. i can see users set red marker for a downtown but it downloads lots more from other places of new york.

The line is orange, not red, and youâre seeing the relation of a boundary. (Relation groups several boundary lines together - as administrative boundaries are shared between adjacent areas)

I couldnt figure out how to use it. I enter Paris to the search bar and i dont see any boundaries.
Oh i figured it out. Thank you! Do you think it would let me download .osm of large cities like Paris?
For downloads, you wonât be able to directly use the main site.
Search the help site for e.g. âdownloadâ, and youâll find questions such as https://help.openstreetmap.org/questions/49815/why-i-cannot-download-arua-uganda-city-map-in-osm-format .
Depending on what you want to do, you may be able to find a ready-made Paris city extract, or cut âParisâ out of âfranceâ with something like âosmosisâ.
