Well, I’m very glad I made this thread! Thank you everyone for the spirited discussion.

I think, based mainly on @Minh_Nguyen’s post, this is the “safest” way forward:

For tagging RRFBs in the US:

  1. (Optional) Beacon node: traffic_sign=(US:W11-2|US:S1-1|US:W11-15|US:W16-7P|US:W16-9P|US:W16-2P) value as appropriate + flashing_lights=(yes|always|button|sensor|button;sensor) value as appropriate

  2. (Important) Crossing way/node: crossing:signals=no + crossing:signed=yes + flashing_lights=(yes|always|button|sensor|button;sensor) value as appropriate

Any previously unvoiced major corrections or objections?
