Railway=station as an area?

I see three disadvantages about this:

  1. This tag does not make its purpose obvious (marking the area / perimeter of a railway operating site).
  2. If one would change the value of the railway=* tag on the railway operating site’s node*, they might forget to change this one too.
  3. railway:site=site looks a bit weird to me.

* Although this isn’t that common, I guess.
