I don’t know if this is the right place for this question or not
I download part of Egypt map in osm format and when I convert it to img using MkgmapGUI
All Arabic letters appears as ??? 
is there any solution or not

You can try with the Mkgmap commandline parameter --utf8 and if that doesn’t help then try also with --code-page=1252. Hope this helps

yes it works for me too, but i seems that my nuvi does not handle right to left writing , it displays letters in arabic but from left right is there any idea ???
