On the subject of guest houses, don’t forget that bed and breakfasts were merged into guest houses a while back.

guest_house=guest_house can at least be assumed to mean “this is a guest house not a bed and breakfast”.

Yes, unless you’re taking care to investigate the correct state of each object in OSM individually (in which case it wouldn’t be an automated edit).

The elephant in the room here is that of course (in the UK at least) traditional guest houses and B&Bs have been somewhat usurped by short-term not always strictly legal remote rentals where you deal with the property owner over the internet only and enter a code in a keybox (or similar) to gain entry.
