Since the moderators have decided to allow the discussion to continue in this thread, I will withdraw my previous comment.
Thank you all for your interesting and thoughtful perspectives. However, it seems the discussion is gradually drifting off-topic.
As I understand it, this thread was originally intended as a suggestion based on site feedback. My intention was simply to highlight how the meaning of certain features—like emojis—can vary across cultures, and to encourage a bit of caution and mutual understanding when using them.
That said, I’ve noticed that some participants in the forum may feel a bit uncomfortable when discussions start to move too far from topics directly related to OSM. Since this thread seems to be shifting away from its original focus, it might be a good point to gently wrap things up here.
If anyone would like to further explore this topic or share a different perspective, please feel free to do so in the thread under the Korea category titled “The Cultural and Emotional Meaning of the Popcorn () Emoji”. Alternatively, you’re also welcome to join the discussion on my post “Emoji Meanings Differ Across Cultures and Emotions”, even if it’s outside of this forum.
Thank you again for your diverse and valuable insights!
