I’ve exported maps as SVG’s in the standard layer and been able to use in illustrator with all roads, green areas, railways etc until the last few days. Now a black box is appearing only showing road names, do you know how to get an SVG with all the elements. It’s not the size of the area being to big, I have the same problem on small areas.
Thanks
I’ve had a few problems with Illustrator making a mess of importing maps exported as SVG, when they load perfectly well into a browser tab. So unfortunately it seems to be primarily an Illustrator problem.
You could ask at the Github for the website if anything has changed recently.
PDF seems to work fine.
Its a funny one, when I put an older map into illustrator it works fine, somethings changed just need to work out what it is. PDF are working fine, although getting the spinning wheel when working with them so everything is taking a lot longer. Thanks for your replay though ![]()
I think quite a few things changed when the style was updated to Carto 6.0.0, e.g. the default OS became Debian 12 (from?). This may have changed the rendering library version.
I think it’s worth pointing out the regression on website Github. I don’t think there is much to be done, however, as reverting to older versions of libraries isn’t a sustainable option.
It might be worth trying out the exported SVG in Inkscape. The entire rendering toolchain is open-source, so some of the underlying components might have incompatibilities with proprietary software that aren’t caught as quickly.
Hey similar problem i m facing please tell the solution
