Hi,
I am using JOSM editor to edit my city(Visakhapatnam, India, located at lat-17.73,lng-83.3) map. I have installed wms plugin, and wish to use Yahoo sat imagery for editing roads. However the imagery is of very low resolution and difficult to find roads out of it. Can someone help me with this or suggest some better alternatives to edit road network.

Welcome to the OSM community and the forum.
In this area Bing aerial images have a much better resolution. OSM is allowed to use Bing. Please read the section precision.
The WMS plugin isn’t necessary anymore. Now there’s the built-in function “Imagery”. Click on it and select “Bing Sat” and you’re done.
