Printable Berlin Map - Export svg for Adobe Illustrator

Hi,
I would like to use standard OSM map of Berlin for print.

Could anybody give me advice how to manage the export of a real svg - stressing the “real” because I created a svg with maperitive but actually it was screened like an ordinary bitmap.
I also tried the export function of openstreetmap.org but it showed some display errors (black and white boxes) and lacked the street names

So it would be really great if some of you could give me a hint how to create a proper svg map of Berlin.

please go to http://help.openstreetmap.org and do a search for keywords like SVG, print, map and so on … there are many hints about SVG output there. Also in the OSM wiki … search for “illustrator”
