It used to be the case that in Potlatch I could move satellite image backgrounds around (to fix any alignment problems with the map data) by holding the space bar while dragging the mouse/touchpad.
This doesnāt work any more. I donāt know whether Potlatch has changed or if itās a problem with my PC.
Dell laptop running Windows 10 (same problem existed in Windows 8), browser used is latest version of Chrome (MS Edge also has the problem).
Donāt hesitate to ask here when you get stuck somewhere ⦠but after two weeks or watching some tutorial videos (yes, they do exist) you will have success in using JOSM! I am sure!!
For info, with a flash player that Mozillaās plugincheck says is up to date, works for me on Windows 7 in SeaMonkey and Chrome
Re JOSM, Iād love it if some of the āyou ought to use JOSMā people could answer some of the outstanding JOSM questions that Iāve asked in the past (see some of https://help.openstreetmap.org/users/387/someoneelse?questions_sort=active&questions_page=2 ). Itās a shame, because what it can do it does well - it just fails at some of the basics that Iād need as a (clearly not very typical) survey-based mapper
The ones on the page that I linked to - both the ones without an accepted answer, and where I accepted an answer that says āyou canāt do that with JOSMā.
A couple of new answers have popped up there - so thanks to the submitters for those.
While using Google Chrome 46.0.2490.71 m I can see while in Potlatch by right clicking my mouse that itās Flash 19.0.0.226
Can also swap browsers to Microsoft Edge and that tells me that itās working with Flash 19.0.0.185 (and I have the same problem here).
From memory, this feature of Potlatch worked fine when I was using Windows 7 but stopped working when I upgraded to Windows 8 (and has now continued not working under Windows 10).
