To the OSM community & whom it may concern,

We would like to inform you that Postnord as a organization have taken part of the feedback you have provided and has since last Tuesday, 221206, seized all editing in OSM.

This decision was taken before we were locked out and is based on an evaluation of our own performance as well as the input provided by the community. We will stop operations and reassess our way of working as well as our usage of OSM as a part of our master data.

We would like to underline that our intentions going into the process of editing and updating OSM have been pure and we have all along had the intention to both contribute to the community with quality updates as well as establishing a top-tier and unparalleled platform for our navigational and optimization needs. In hindsight our timeline and the training efforts for our editors haven’t been sufficient and as an effect quality have been lacking.

We will revisit our process and decide on our way forward. If OSM would continue to be a part of our future way of working we would like to plan for a structured approach and ensure detailed training & a deeper understanding of OSM and it’s inner workings for the editors. If this would be the case we would like to do this in collaboration with you and hence discuss how to approach this process with your community.
