I have blocked all the users mentioned in this thread for one year (but will lift the block as soon as there is an agreement between the Swedish community and PostNord). I have also sent the following message to Sören, the guy at PostNord the DWG was previously in contact with:
Dear Sören,
members of the Swedish community are rather upset with the way PostNord mappers are behaving. The quality of contributions is often low (footpaths are re-tagged to be service roads; paths are drawn straight through buildings; roads are drawn over an existing path; and so on). Mappers comment on the these contributions, but rarely (if ever) receive a reply.
It is obvious that the people you have tasked with editing OSM have insufficient training to make good quailty contributions. This cannot continue.
The wiki documentation you have provided is also insufficient - it doesn’t contain a list of all users to start with.
You have been dragging your feet on engaging with the community - they say a meeting has been planned, and then postponed several times.
When these issues began, I asked you to stop your contributions until the problems could be resolved; apparently your idea of “resolved” and that of the volunteer mappers in Sweden diverge greatly.
I am now blocking all PostNord accounts from editing until such time as a way forward has been agreed between our volunteer mappers in Sweden and PostNord, that includes PostNord adhering f ully to all OSM organised editing guidelines and implementing a QA process and proper employee training to avoid the glaring errors that have been made, and to ensure that feedback from the community is taken into account promptly. We cannot have our volunteers clearing up after sloppy PostNord edits - we welcome contributions from everyone but not if they are a net negative because our volunteers have to do the supervision that you have neglected.
A good place to get in touch with the Swedish community is on the new forum, here: PostNord och OSM
Best regards,
