Postcode not showing in search results

Hi,

I created a new building Way: ‪Sandpiper Lodge‬ (‪1547838177‬) | OpenStreetMap and tagged with the address details including postcode.

The postcode is exclusive to this building as per the Royal Mail Postcode Finder.

When searching, I can find the building through the name or the street address. When I search only for the postcode however, I get no results.

Have I done something wrong? What needs to happen to make the postcode searchable?

From what I see Way History: ‪Sandpiper Lodge‬ (‪1547838177‬) | OpenStreetMap was added hour ago. It may take longer for it to become indexed by Nominatim and other geocoders.

But Sandpiper Lodge | OpenStreetMap finds it, so…

The postcode indexes are updated only once a day. Just wait a bit and by tomorrow the new postcode should be searchable as well.
