If you’ve been following the talk@ mailing list you might know that cetest has alleged substantial copying of his work.
The copying of his work was done by Mr_Israel.
An example is the red walk. The red trace is Mr_Israel’s version and the cyan one is cetest’s. Clearly Mr_Israel’s is based on the other.
The only features I see in common from his problematic changesets are that they are in JOSM and between 2012-07-09 and 2012-02-12. Unfortunately this is 207 changesets.
I would rather not revert this many if not necessary but if I can’t narrow it down it’ll be the only option.
The board has asked that this be speedily resolved. I am doing other work right now but will need to address this case soon. The end of Monday would be good, but I can’t exactly predict how long my other tasks will take.
Time is the one thing I have in short supply right now.
What I’m looking for is some way to identify changesets which weren’t copy&paste remapping. yrtimiD has helped me rule out about 20-30 from my initial list, but there’s still about 170.
