I’ve just learned about an optional excursion role for recreational route relations. The wiki describes it as:
A signposted or otherwise waymarked side track which rejoins the main track at or close to the same point where it left, e.g. to visit a place of interest. The excursion is an optional addition to the main route.
It looks like a perfect description of the role of “transparent” trail marks.
This approach
- Avoids the need to create a separate relation for transparent trails
- Avoids the need to use the infamous
black:white“best compromise” value for theosmc:symbolof that relation
What do you think?
