Population density datasets

Can any recommend the best commercial or non commercial population density dataset. I want to create a heat map of how density changes (down to 10m2 scale if possible). UK focus.

Usually you can get population data sets from each country’s statistics office. E.g. for UK:

Census Output Area Population Estimates (supporting information)
and the geometries for that: Output Areas December 2021

If you want to get fancy you could try to use OSM’s landuse and building data to estimate on a higher resolution where people actually live.
