POI databases and bitmap symbols

Can one yet download custom POI databases with their attendant bitmap symbols into Osmand+ as one can with old TomTom satnavs and presumably some others as most of the suppliers of these databases supply them in at least two formats.

OSMAnd is a third party product. Support seems to be provided at https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/osmand Unfortunately, you will need a Google account to use this.
