Hi all. Please complete the multiple choice poll for the days that you can attend an OpenStreetMap get together in central Birmingham. Based on the outcome I will find a suitable venue within walking distance of the train stations.

Hi all

Quick update: I have just sent a few reminder messages to get last votes before I select a date. Based on current votes Monday 2nd December is the most popular. Thursday’s also look good, with Thursday 5th December an option (Thursday 21st November might now be too short notice). Feel free to pencil these in the calendar so as to keep them free.

If you still need to vote then please do soon so I can close it and announce a date.

Ok, I have closed the poll now. Votes in the last couple days swung it to Thursday 5th December as the most popular choice so we will go with that this time.

I will confirm a venue but likely to be The Bull pub on Price Street as this is easy walking from the city centre train stations and has (or at least had a few years ago) free evening street parking for those driving. It’s also quiet enough to hold a conversation (unlike some city centre venues) and serves food.

The Bull pub on Price Street is booked for next week (Thursday 5th December). I will work out of Birmingham that afternoon so I can get there straight after work at anytime from 5pm onwards. Let me know if you plan to arrive that early. Otherwise I suggest arriving anytime from 6pm onwards. I will bring an OSM logo printout and my hi-vis OSM vest (if I can find it).

How to see you all there. There is street parking (free in the evening unless that has changed in the last year) for those driving.

Just a gentle reminder that our OSM meetup in Birmingham is tomorrow (Thursday) evening. I will have my OSM hi-vis jacket with me. I hope to see may of you there.
