… yet another reason to add physical properties like shoulder, sidewalk, verge, etc. I noticed it still hasn’t been done for the road discussed Way: ‪Route de la Basse Sambre‬ (‪58731364‬) | OpenStreetMap

and … another reason why GraphHopper does route over the discussed way segment is that the footway data is likely incorrect:

Mapillary shows that in September 2018 the Route de la Basse Sambre still had a “sidewalk”:

While that in September 2019 was gone:

The footway data is last touched July 2018 and based on the new images it looks to me these footways no longer exist.
