OziExplorer views out-of-date parts of OSM

Hi,

2 Weeks ago I added a number of footpaths in OSM. One footpath I changed 1.5 week ago.

In OziExplorer the first changes are visible, the newer changes ( since 1.5 week ) are not visible. Why is this?

In the brower version of OSM I see all footpaths but they are only visible in OziExplorer when you zoom in to level 17 or 18. OziExplorer does only receive the information via the standard OSM render.

Is the rendering process executed only sometimes?

Can you help solving these issues?

Hi,

Could it be possible that OziExplorer is storing tiles into some local cache? Anyway, because the data obviously is all right in the OSM database and slippy map then the problem must be on Ozi side. Ozi users have a mailing list also.

Hi,

The problem was that OziExplorer caches the OSM / internet maps data.
Short cut solution: throw the Ozi’s “systeme files\Internet Maps Cache*” files away. A fresh set will be downloaded after restart.
Structural solution: Ozi will be adapted by … having an option to ignore the cache and download fresh tiles.
