Osmtracker version 2024.07.09 - fault in export gpx

I’ve successfully used osmtracker for many years. My android phone currently uses the update published on 2024-07-09 (according to google play ‘version name’).

I’m now unable to create gpx files for tracks otherwise successfully recorded.

The last successfully exported track was recorded on 2024-07-11(according to file name) and likely exported a few days later. Despite several apparently ‘successful’ attempts to export to gpx, there is no sign of gpx files for tracks recorded on 2024-07-27 and later (according to both android app ‘files by google’; and windows 11 ‘file explorer’, when android device is connected by cable).

Although publication date of update is reasonably certain, it not clear when my android device received that update. However I am very suspicious that the current failure is connected to the update named 2024.07.09, which was presumably installed on my phone shortly after 2024-07-11.

Please can this fault be investigated. Meanwhile, is there some way I can access the previous version which worked adequately for my purposes ?

This is true.

The problem and its cause are known to the developers.
Unfortunately, the developers did not fix the problem yet:

There is even a pull request that fixes the problem, but the developers apparently haven’t responded to it yet.

The GPX file is exported to the internal memory, which in newer Android versions can usually only be accessed from the PC.
The GPX files should probably be here:
/sdcard/Android/data/net.osmtracker/
I am able to access this path from the PC even with new Android versions.
