Hello,
When I select an OSM link that has been saved in a google doc, the link sends me to the location however when I open different node links to other locations OSM sends me to the exact same location I had before. Has anyone experienced a similar issue or know how I might resolve this?

You’ll need to provide some examples for anyone to help you.

Both of those links have are edit links for a particular node. The editor is taking you to the location of that node, not the rest of the URL. Omit the node part (like https://www.openstreetmap.org/edit#map=17/37.46755/-122.15811 ) or the edit part altogether (like https://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=17/37.46755/-122.15811 ) to get the desired effect.
Hello,
The nodes are different locations https://www.openstreetmap.org/edit?node=42491638 and https://www.openstreetmap.org/edit?node=4209145981. However when I select these nodes OSM directs me to a location that I was previously working on with JOSM, all node links will send me to this location, https://www.openstreetmap.org/edit?node=447598881#map=17/37.46755/-122.15811.

Incidentally, your original edit links with different nodes do open in different locations for me, but Potlatch2 rather than JOSM is my default editor.

That’s probably because both of those links point to the same location. They point to different nodes, but the coordinates on which to center the map are identical.
