Suppose you want to make a trip from Alcaraz to Albacete (in Spain). Doing that on on bicycle will take about 84 kilometers. But what kind of roads and surfaces do you encounter on that trip?
That’s why I developped OSM Route Visualizer.
You have to upload the route as a GPX file (maximum length is 100 kilometer) and it shows what you have to face while on the road:
You can click on every part of the track and see more detailed information about that part:
The program is still in development and please let me know what wishes you have or what problems you encounter.
A few remarks:
If you get an error (after uploading), just retry, it’s just a sign of overpass being busy.
Sometimes (when your route is very close to another road), the information of that road is displayed.
If you want to mail your results to someone else, just clicking the Save Permalink button saves the complete track which you then can just paste in any other application.
