Hi,

OSM data are under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 2.0 licence (CC-BY-SA) and to use it in any way you like it you need to credit it.
What about the traces from the OSM site like this one: http://www.openstreetmap.org/traces
Are the traces under any licence? Can I use it as source to my map without any credits?

Hi, I’m sorry that your question has not been answered yet. I’m not really sure about the license of the GPS traces myself either. If you haven’t found an answer elsewhere, I suggest to ask again at help.openstreetmap.org - maybe you are more lucky there. When you do so, however, I suggest that the title of your question should already make it clear that you are asking about GPS traces.
