Hey, quick question: OSM overlays maps from other providers. Can you do the opposite? I’d like to sync the OSM map with Waze. There is an add-on available at https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/map-overlays/ggbadcghmcpofonkoeepddbabdkfbbia, but I’m not sure if I’m allowed to use it? In any case, it would be really useful, since some government agencies use OSM to upload construction plans and similar documents. In any case, a small dispute has broken out internally at Waze, and I’d appreciate some clarity. Thanks in advance
Waze is completely off limits as a source for OSM.
And I’m fairly sure that Google is not going to be happy if you try the reverse, but they need to vet their sources themselves aka not our problem (pro tip: read their terms of service).

If you mean copying data from one map to another by using overlay of one map as a source for another the answer is no.
Both the maps have incompatible copyright licenses that makes this illegal both ways
