Interesting. I’ve been contemplating making a printable style for QGIS, maybe porting it later to CartoCSS or Map(box|Libre) GL.
Did some research on limitations of printers regarding colors, text and patterns, using Krita with ICC profiles one can find on the internet like Fogra39. I printed some openstreetmap-carto test maps on work laser printer :wink: I did not prototype it further, but this looks similar to what I had in mind - maybe except the super pronounced single-stroke roads.

That said, this style is kind of similar to Rand McNally paper road atlases, which makes sense :slight_smile:
