Opening hours for low and high season

I am looking at this restaurant and I’d like to correctly capture opening hours for low and high season, which are described in here. Could you please advise on the correct use of opening-hours scheme?

I have currently gone with an approximate entry specifying only month ranges followed by hours and then separated by semicolon, but ideally I’d like to capture exact dates and also highlight somehow that these are likely to change on annual basis so that they can be reviewed by others in the area.

If the opening times depend on specific date ranges, you must enter the date range before the specific dates and times. For example, you can specify the special opening times between Christmas and New Year’s Eve with opening_hours=Dec 27-Dec 31 <insert regular opening hours>.

What could make this a bit difficult is that low and high seasons are vavue concepts and could (and probably do) move around but opening times do regularly change anyway (see also QA like SC which require regular resurveys).

Also make sure to check the result in some evaluator to see if you got it right.

Looking at the last years high/low season dates I would guess their high season starts with the last weekend in March and ends with the last weekend in October. This could be written as Tu-Su,PH 10:00-16:00; Mar Sa[-1]-Oct Su[-1] Mo-Su,PH 10:00-16:00
This would imply that they are open on public holidays; if not you can remove the respective ‘PH’
Edit: Added opening times for low season

Though this becomes a bit of a preference and it only works for that specific case, you can also simplify the above opening hours by specifying that the amenity has closed on mondays during low season since the general opening hours for both seasons are the same and may reflect the intention of the opwning times much better (and it may also be a bit less error prone):

Mo-Su,PH 10:00-16:00; Oct Su[-1]-Mar Sa[-1] Mo off

Many thanks for this. Really useful.
