Open osf files in Windows

With the new OSMAND version 5.4.4 I cannot find taken photos and recorded tracks in the former directories anymore (photos: avnotes, tracks: /rec). I understood that they now stored under My Places.

From there I can share a limited number of photos per action to my Windows PC, but sharing all photos at once is denied, export as osf-file is possible. Tracks I can only export using osf format.

How can I open an *.osf-file in Windows in order to extract the content?

If you rename the file to something.zip and unzip it, what do you see?

(I’m not an OsmAnd user; this is just the result of a quick web search)

Thanks*

I had also read the references to zip containers, but the sources didn’t seem particularly reliable to me, and it didn’t occur to me to rename the file.
