Following up on my previous thread in late 2024 and my experiences mapping sidewalks and crossings in 2025, I created a draft page with different types of crossings and crosswalks I found in southern Ontario, and recommendations on how to tag them: User:Jarek Piórkowski/Ontario crossings - OpenStreetMap Wiki
Most are established crossing:* tags that are now assembled in one place, and I suggested crossing_ref values for PXOs.
Comments welcome! I also welcome international commenters’ thoughts on the traffic_sign=* tagging for the signed crossings.
Right now it’s in my user space on the wiki. If there are no objections, I’m planning to move it and link to make it official tagging guidance for Ontario in February.
